I recently tried this Houttuynia Cordata Extract Facial Toner and after using it daily for a few weeks, I can honestly say I absolutely love it.The formula is extremely simple and clean, which is something I look for especially as someone with sensitive skin. The toner contains 92.5% Houttuynia Cordata extract, with only two other ingredients: butylene glycol and 1,2-hexanediol.Houttuynia Cordata which is also called heartleaf is known for its calming and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s used to help soothe irritation, reduce redness, and for overall healthy skin. After using it consistently, I’ve noticed my skin tone looks more even and my face feels calmer overall.The second ingredient Butylene glycol is a humectant that helps draw moisture into the skin and helps the main ingredient absorb better.The third ingredient 1,2-hexanediol acts mainly as a stabilizer and mild preservative. It helps keep the formula safe from microbial growth and adds a little extra hydration.***One very important thing to know is that this toner must be refrigerated after opening.***I hadn’t used a product with Houttuynia Cordata before and didn’t know what to expect, but keeping it chilled actually turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the routine. Every morning I pour a small amount onto my fingertips and gently apply it to my face. Because it’s refrigerated, it feels incredibly refreshing and soothing on the skin. This product can be mixed with other products or used alone. It can be used as a facial toner or a mask. It can also be used on your scalp which I have not yet tried but plan to soon. The scent is also really pleasant and relaxing. It’s hard to describe exactly, it’s light and natural but it’s one of those scents that immediately gives you a sense of calm when you use it.Since starting this toner, my skin feels noticeably more hydrated, smoother, and more balanced. As someone with sensitive skin, I’m happy to report that I’ve had no irritation or adverse reactions.The formula is clean and vegan, which matters to me as a vegetarian.At $18 at the time of this review, I think the value is very good for such a high percentage of the main ingredient and such a minimal ingredient list. I would absolutely recommend this toner to anyone looking for a simple, soothing, and hydrating product especially if you enjoy clean formulations and calming skincare.

This toner is excellent quality and i love how it’s just Houttuynia Cordata (with a few other ingredients to stabilize the formula) — it’s so soothing and I don’t have to worry about there being any random hidden irritants in the formula. It feels refreshing on my skin, helps with redness, hydrates, and helps soothe and heal my irritation. I also like that you can use this to mix with other skincare products when you need more soothing benefits (or it can be used on its own). Great quality & i highly recommend!

Best toner that I have tried, hands down like I can't express or recommend it enough.First, the ingredients are amazing such a beneficial skincare ingredient, Houttuynia Cordata Extract which is normally so much more expensive. The ingredient list is super clean and I appreciate that. It smells great, just natural and. It feels great going on my skin and leaves it feeling soft and clean. It's easy to use and very effective. I have been using it consistently for a month and I have no complaints. I love how versatile it is that I can use it on my face and scalp and etc. It's high quality and very great price.
